Feud Escalates as Supporter Defends Iyabo Ojo Against VDM

A social media user, identified as Tolani Oreniyi, has issued a public statement defending Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo in the ongoing online exchanges involving social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM).

In the statement, widely shared with the hashtags  #foryoupage and  #viral, Oreniyi accused VDM of persistently targeting the actress without substantial evidence. She criticized his approach, questioning his talent and motives, and accused him of gathering “miscreants to weaponise evil” against already established figures in the entertainment industry.

Oreniyi’s message, partly written in Yoruba, also carried a warning:

“Nothing must happen to Iyabo. We good women, we will make sure we cancel you too. No retreat, no surrender.”

The statement concluded with strong words in Yoruba, “Omo alaileko… omo jatijati,” which are derogatory phrases implying poor upbringing.

The feud between VDM and Iyabo Ojo has recently attracted considerable attention on Nigerian social media, sparking debates over online bullying, celebrity rivalries, and the boundaries of public commentary.
