President Bola Tinubu has expressed shock over reports that members of the national women’s football team have not yet received their promised rewards, despite funds already being approved and paid into the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) account.
Speaking during a live broadcast on NTA, the President stated that he had authorized the payment well before making it public and described the delay as “unacceptable.”
Tinubu ordered an immediate clampdown on the NFF Chairman, warning against attempts to tarnish his image. He further directed that all outstanding payments to the players be settled within the next 24 hours.
