Chelsea’s newest Brazilian wonderkid, Estevao Willian, has expressed his excitement at the chance to experience English football culture, just days after scoring his first goal for the Blues.
The 18-year-old attacker officially joined Chelsea this summer following his £51.4 million move from Palmeiras, and has already shown flashes of brilliance during pre-season. He found the net against Bayer Leverkusen and won a penalty against AC Milan, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
Speaking ahead of his potential Premier League debut against Crystal Palace on Sunday, Estevao revealed what he’s most looking forward to in his Chelsea journey:
“I can’t wait to experience all the iconic stadiums in England. Football here has so much history, and I want to soak in every moment,” the teenager said.

Chelsea are building a strong Brazilian presence in the squad. Alongside Estevao, the Blues have Andrey Santos returning from a successful loan at Strasbourg and striker Joao Pedro, who arrived from Brighton and has already impressed with five goals in the Club World Cup campaign.
Manager Enzo Maresca is expected to introduce Estevao gradually to avoid overwhelming the youngster, but the club is confident he will play a key role in the years ahead.
The teenager, who has been widely tipped as the most exciting South American talent since Neymar, already has Blues supporters buzzing with anticipation.
Chelsea fans will now be watching closely as Estevao prepares to make his first competitive appearance in the English top flight, with hopes he can be the next star to light up Stamford Bridge.
