2027 Election: Primate Ayodele Predicts Tinubu’s Possible Downfall, Urges Urgent Strategy Shift

Lagos, Nigeria — Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a prophetic warning regarding the political future of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, cautioning that a powerful challenger is on the rise ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a video shared on the church’s official Facebook page on Wednesday, August 6, the outspoken cleric urged President Tinubu to immediately reconsider his political approach, especially in the northern region of the country.

“Somebody powerful is coming to unseat Tinubu,” Primate Ayodele declared. “Northerners will not help you. All the pleading and pacifying will not yield results. Change your strategy before it is too late.”

The prophet emphasized that the president’s reliance on northern support may not guarantee electoral success in 2027. He advised the president to take concrete action in regions where political trust appears fragile.

“You have ignored key areas in the North where real work is needed. What you’re doing now is only temporary and ineffective. If you don’t shift your approach, your efforts will not yield victory,” Ayodele added.

This warning comes at a time when new political realignments are taking shape. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is reportedly working behind the scenes to form a strong opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 polls. Analysts believe this coalition could pose a significant challenge to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Tinubu administration has focused heavily on institution-building and fiscal reforms. However, opposition voices argue that these efforts do not resonate with the everyday struggles of ordinary Nigerians — fueling criticism that the government is detached from grassroots realities.

In a separate prophetic message, Primate Ayodele also warned several Nigerian governors, stating that some of them might lose their positions if they underestimate the strength of the ADC coalition.

A statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, warned that the coalition could claim seats across various levels of government unless incumbents re-engage with their constituents and demonstrate clear performance.

“The 2027 elections will not be business as usual,” the statement noted. “Governors who fail to connect with the people will face the consequences at the ballot box.”
