Abuja, Nigeria – The Federal Government has officially closed the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment portal for the 2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise, marking the end of the application stage.
According to the CDCFIB, over 1.9 million Nigerians applied for positions across the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) before the August 4, 2025 deadline.
States With the Highest Applications
The latest data shows:

In contrast, states like Lagos (14,216) and Bayelsa (11,669) recorded the fewest applications, highlighting a wide disparity in interest across the country.

The CDCFIB has announced that shortlisting of candidates will begin soon, with successful applicants to be notified via email and SMS.
