Davido Reacts After VeryDarkMan Clears the Air on Receiving Money From Him

Afrobeats king Davido has finally broken his silence after controversial activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) set the record straight about their much-talked-about Lagos meetup. In a trending video, VDM told his followers that contrary to online gist, Davido didn’t sponsor his hotel stay or flight when they linked up in Lagos.

“People keep saying Davido paid for my hotel or flight. It’s not true. I didn’t collect anything from him,” VDM said, insisting that the narrative was being used to discredit him anytime he speaks on the singer.

Davido Drops Calm Response

Not one to shy away from social media, Davido reacted with a subtle but telling comment on Instagram:

“VDM, if you like abuse my whole life, I no fit fight you,” he wrote.

VDM later replied, saying his statement wasn’t shade but simply a correction.

“If you see it as insult, the aluta continues. Love always from my end. I no be anybody’s boy,” he added.
