How Much Does Jesus Love You?

I once asked Jesus, “How much do You love me?” He stretched out His hands on the cross and said, “This much.” Then He died—for me, a sinner. And He died for you too.

The night before His death, you were on His mind. His desire was to have a relationship with you and give you eternal life. But sin separated us from God. The price of sin was death, and only the blood of the innocent Lamb could pay it.

In the garden, Jesus prayed in agony, “Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not my will, but Yours be done” (Matthew 26:39). Soon after, soldiers arrested Him. Though innocent, He was scourged, mocked, crowned with thorns, and condemned to die.

As He carried the heavy cross to Golgotha, His strength came from love—for you and for the will of the Father. Nails pierced His hands and feet, and He hung on the cross. Love held Him there, not the nails. He bore your griefs, your sorrows, your sins.

Darkness covered the land. With His last breath He said, “It is finished.” The work of salvation was complete. Jesus gave His life so you could be forgiven.

“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).

Do you know where you will spend eternity? For the believer, death is not the end—it is a doorway to everlasting life with Jesus. But without Him, there is only eternal separation in hell.

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
“Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Will You Receive Him Today?

If you desire eternal life, turn from your sins, believe in Jesus, and pray sincerely from your heart:

“Oh God, I am a sinner. Please forgive me. I believe Jesus died for me and rose again. I receive Him as my Savior and trust Him as my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
