YABA, LAGOS STATE – The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
In a post shared via its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, August 4, the examination body announced that candidates across Nigeria who participated in the exam can now access their results through its digital result-checking platforms.
The 2025 WASSCE was conducted over a span of nine weeks and two days, from Thursday, April 24 to Friday, June 20, 2025. The examination covered thousands of secondary schools nationwide and tested students across key subjects needed for university admission.
“The results for the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025, have been released today, Monday, August 4. Candidates who sat for the exam can now check their results online,” WAEC stated.
How to Check the 2025 WAEC Results
To access the results, candidates are advised to:

Visit the official WAEC result portal: https://www.waecdirect.org

Input their Examination Number

Select the Examination Year (2025)

Choose Examination Type (School Candidate Result)

Enter the WAEC e-PIN Voucher Number

Click on “Submit” to view the result
WAEC emphasized the need for students to use only official channels to avoid falling victim to fraudsters or fake websites.
